While its origins date back to 1870, De Montfort University (DMU) is a futurefocused institution with around 3,500 staff and 27,000 students across four main faculties. It’s a successful operator in an increasingly demanding
environment.
“The UK’s higher education market is very, very competitive,” says Ram Basra, Associate Director at DMU. “We’ve had to branch out and diversify our offering to make sure we remain relevant in a congested field.”
As well as its main campus in Leicester, DMU recently launched a new site in Dubai and is set to open another in London. And this growing presence is leading to a shift in how DMU’s IT team operates.
